In fact, a trusting and personal friendship with Jesus can serve as the spiritual key to accepting the limitations that all of us have, and thus to be at peace with them. It can turn each of us into a grateful and joyful disciple, one capable of showing that our frailties are no obstacle to living and proclaiming the Gospel. Having Jesus as a friend is an immense consolation. It is a privilege and a blessing, and it becomes our vocation: we are called to be friends of Jesus! We Christians have received a gift: access to the heart of Jesus and friendship with him. When we need him, he makes himself known to us he remains at our side wherever we go” ( Christus Vivit, 154). He never leaves us, even though at times it appears that he keeps silent. His words also speak to us they shed light on the mystery of our close relationship to him as members of his Church. PRAYĭear Heavenly Father, thank You for answering my prayers, even when the answer is no. So, I encourage you today to keep the faith when Jesus says no. When we walk the path He has made for us His purpose will be fulfilled.
Last, when His will is revealed walk in it. We must trust Him and know that His will is what’s best for us. Sometimes no is the blessing that will propel us into our destiny. There are three things we must do when Jesus says no. If our desire doesn’t line up with His will, Jesus may very well say no. But, what happens when Jesus says no? Psalm 37:4 tell us that God will give us the desires of our heart, but verse five goes on to say we must commit our way to the Lord, trust Him and He will act. Everyone was excited to declare “when Jesus says yes, nobody can say no”. In 2014, Michelle Williams released a song titled “When Jesus Says Yes”.
